
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning advising that strong and gusty southerly winds may cause disruption to transport and infrastructure. The advisory covers Counties Antrim, Down and Armagh.
The yellow weather warning is in place from 6am to 10am on Friday morning, February 21.
A Met Office spokesperson commented:
“A brief spell of strong and gusty southerly winds will likely coincide with rush hour on Friday. Gusts of 45-55 mph are likely across the warning area, with exposed coasts and hills of counties Down and Antrim could see brief gusts of 65 mph.
“Winds quickly ease from the west late morning.”
