A double-decker bus, the 'StreetDeck Electroliner' built by Wrightbus in Galgorm for Arriva London, was involved in a collision on Friday afternoon in Ballymena.

The bus, which was reportedly being tested at the time, left the road on the A26 Crankill Road and smashed through a fence and wall of a property by the roadside.

A photo of the incident, widely shared on social media, showed the damage caused to the garden of the property and to the front of the bus. The Police Service of Northern Ireland reported that they received a call about the incident at around 12:20 pm on Friday, June 14th.

A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland commented:

"Police received a report that a bus had left the carriageway of the Crankill Road and collided with a hedge and wall of a property. There were no reports of any injuries."
