The wintry conditions of the last days are set to continue this week with the Met Office issuing a further yellow weather warning advising that snow and icy patches may lead to some disruption to travel.
This latest weather advisory is effective from 3:00pm today, Monday 6th January, to 11:00am on Tuesday morning, 7th January.
A spokesperson for the Met Office commented:
“Rain, sleet and snow showers will continue during Monday evening and night leading to a risk of icy stretches. A slight covering of snow is possible in places, and perhaps up to 5cm on hills in the north and west, especially the Sperrins.
“Snow showers are expected to become more frequent across the north and west for a time this afternoon and evening.”
