Willie John O'Donnell was delighted to hand over £3,000 yesterday, Friday 3rd February, to Mary Waide, Regional President of St Vincent de Paul (SVDP) North Region, to support the ongoing work of the charity to support families in the local community.
The grand total was raised recently by WJ O'Donnell & Sons Funeral Directors from their 'Annual Christmas Fundraiser Concert' which was held in St Mary’s Old Chapel, Greenlough, on December 16th 2022.
Commenting, Willie John said:
"I wish to take this opportunity to publicly thank all the local singers and musicians directed by Sean Scullion who gave of their time so freely and made the event such a massive success.
"Massive thanks also to Fr Pat O’Hagan, Parish Priest at Bellaghy Chapel and Greenlough, for allowing us the use of Greenlough Old Chapel on the night which proved so fitting for such an
event.
"Grateful thanks to Specialist Joinery Maghera for their kindness in attending to all our outside lighting needs on the night and to the management staff of WJ O’Donnell & Sons Funeral Directors who gave of their time so freely in both setting up for the event and helping out on the night.
"Finally grateful thanks to everyone who donated so generously either on the night in person or via our JustGiving page in a bid to help out those people in the Ballymena, Portglenone, Randalstown and Toome areas."
