Channel 5 is set to air the brand new Michael Mosley: Wonders of the Human Body. The three part series is fronted by science journalist Dr Michael Mosley.
Featuring three one hour episodes. the series sets out to decode the marvel of design and engineering that is the human body, inviting viewers to see our bodies in new ways and understand how they work and how the body changes as we age.
Michael takes us on an extraordinary journey around the human body. He puts his own body to the test to help viewers at home understand their bodies, as he tracks down answers to lots of burning questions. Such as, why do we get creaky joints? What happens when we catch the flu? Can we help our brains stay fit as we age? How do doctors replace a hip?
In this series the much respected Mosley meets people from around the country with stories to share that shed light on the hidden marvels of our bodies.
Dr Clare Bailey, wife of Michael Mosley who features in the programme, has recorded a special tribute to Michael in which she says:

In the first episode Michael Mosley heads to Dundee to meet tremors sufferer Thomas who is about to undergo pioneering brain surgery.
In Southampton, Allen finds out if his experimental cancer treatment has been a success and Michael takes the plunge to reveal the health benefits and risks of cold water swimming, as well as a state-of-the-art test that could help predict heart problems years in advance.
The new three part programme Michael Mosley: Wonders of the Human Body will air on Channel 5 on Thursday 22nd August at 8pm.
