The Traction Engine Club of Ulster (TECU) is hosting a fantastic day of steam, stationery engines, tractors, lorries and cars, with a variety of trade stands to browse, this St Patrick's Bank Holiday Monday, 18th November.
The beautiful Raceview Mill, in Broughshane will play host to the event which will take place from 11:00am to around 3:00pm.
The historically significant heritage site at Raceview Mill Broughshane (BT42 4FA) offers a range of unique mill buildings, galleries, and provides ample car parking and other facilities, (including a restored water wheel and an eye catching wool tower).
The venue is located close to the foot of the infamous Slemish Mountain, believed to be the site where St Patrick first tended sheep in Ireland.
Vintage enthusiasts and those who cherish the stories from Ulster past can enjoy the working display of all yesterday’s machines and vehicles - a spectacle that will stir the imagination of both young and old alike.
This event is open to the public and can be accessed via the main Ballymena to Broughshane Road and a minimum donation of £5 for adults will be payable to the Club Marshals at the entrance - children and students are free.
All monies collected will be donated to designated Charities. This year the Neonatal Unit for Premature Babies will be the major benefactor in helping to support those new born babies requiring specialist care.
Exhibitors and Traders will need to ensure that they have appropriate and valid insurance for this event and each driver will be charged a fee of £10 on arrival. A free meal voucher will be available for each exhibitor which can be collected immediately after registration on the day. Accompanying passengers will be individually required to pay an entrance fee of £5.
Pre-booking is not essential and you can just arrive on the day with your exhibit. However, should you have any additional queries you should contact Ivan on 07796 237 862 who should be able to help.
