Midtown Sounds makes a welcome return this weekend to Ballymena



Midtown Sounds makes a welcome return this weekend to Ballymena, celebrating the best of local musical talent across a range of genres and providing up-and-coming artists with a platform to perform.


Organised by Ballymena BID (Ballymena Means) in association with Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, and the Tower Centre, Midtown Sounds event will feature a number of performances and workshops.



This evening (Friday 25 February) come along and see the three acts below performing in the Tower Centre Mall:


🎵 6pm | Conor McAuley Music

🎵 7pm | Foreign Mornings

🎵 8pm | The Caged Hearts



On Saturday 26 February, Midtown Sounds will be taking over a unit in the Tower Centre Ballymena to provide a range of workshops for musicians!


🎵 10am – The Music Rooms will be providing a Junior Jammers workshop for children wishing to get into music


🎵 12pm – Amanda St John will be giving a talk and Q+A on Music Marketing and releasing music



🎵 2pm – Michael McCluskey from ZeroHour Studio will be giving a workshop on music production basics


🎵 4pm – Sarah Irvine will be running a Vocal Coaching workshop


🎵 5pm – A range of musicians will be having a JAM in the Midtown Sounds Unit.

As part of the Midtown Sounds programme, children aged 3-6 years old will have an opportunity to take part in one of The Music Rooms – Junior Jammers Workshops!


Where: Unit 12, Tower Centre Ballymena

When: 10am – 11am, Saturday 26 February



Talented facilitators will be on hand to introduce your children to a range of instruments:

There is no need to bring an instrument, all equipment will be provided.
