This weekend, the Ulster Aviation Society (UAS) at Maze Long Kesh will once again participate in the European Heritage Open Day (EHOD), inviting the public to explore its rich aviation heritage.
Set for Saturday, September 14, and Sunday, September 15, the event promises to be one of the highlights of the EHOD calendar in Northern Ireland, following last year's record-breaking attendance of 3,500 visitors.
The UAS will throw open the doors of its two authentic Second World War aircraft hangars located at Maze Long Kesh, Lisburn, offering free access to aviation enthusiasts and history buffs alike. This year's event is not only a celebration of heritage but also an educational opportunity, showcasing the cultural significance of the site and its contributions to the community.
