Two men have been charged following a robbery and an attempted robbery at two newsagents in Ballymena yesterday, Saturday 22 April.
The men aged 23 and 25 have been charged with a number of offences including robbery, attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
It is understood one of the premises was in Linenhall Street in the town where the two suspects entered the shop in broad daylight demanding money.
The second incident took place at a business premises on the Cullybackey Road.
Both are expected to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court tomorrow, Monday 24 April.
As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
