Jonathan McAuley will stand as a TUV candidate for election in Ballymoney.

Jonathan McAuley has been announced as the TUV candidate for Ballymoney in the up coming local government elections.

Jonathan McAuley is a Ballymoney man through and through. Born and reared in the village of Seacon, he now lives with his wife Louise and three children in Bendooragh.

With a deep love of his culture and heritage he is involved in the Loyal Orders through Drumaheagles LOL 1099 and Ballymoney RBP 309, with a particular interest in the Junior Orange as Superintendant of Drumaheagles JLOL 99.

Employed in the public sector he has hobby interests in farming and vintage machinery. He is a member of Ballymoney Methodist Church.

Commenting on his decision to stand Mr McAuley said:

“I am pleased to be able to offer the people of Ballymoney district the opportunity to vote for strength nor weakness in the forthcoming council election. TUV is a party of principle which says what it means and does what it says. What we say in the run up to the election will be the same thing we say the day after it. Recognition of that has resulted in a mushrooming of TUV support right across Northern Ireland and particularly in Ballymoney.

“Revelations in recent days about the appalling way in which Causeways Coast and Glens Council has operated in the last few years will leave many people looking for a voice prepared to stand up for ratepayers’ interests, not party or self interest. I offer such a voice and pledge to deliver a voice demanding accountability for the public on the council.”

Speaking about Mr McAuley’s selection Jim Allister said:

“Ballymoney needs the strong and determined voice which Jonathan can provide for them on council. Not only will voters deliver a message that they will not accept a border dividing the U.K. in the Irish Sea but they will secure the service of a capable public representative who cares deeply about delivering for his community. I heartily recommend him to the people of Ballymoney District.”
