Translink, No Alibis Bookshop and Libraries NI are encouraging more people to pick up a book or enjoy an audiobook as part of their travels with a reminder to join its virtual Novel Journeys Book Club which is now in its fifth year.
Each month both an adult fiction and children’s or young adult book is nominated, with a focus on local authors or publications which feature local themes and content.
Commenting on the popular initiative, David Cowan, Director of Commercial Operations at Translink Rep, said:
“Translink is very proud of its Novel Journeys Book Club which has proved popular over the years with both avid readers and those looking for inspiration to pick up a book more often. Many of us wish to read more and the daily commute is an ideal opportunity to enjoy some ‘me time’, relax with a great book and explore some great local writing.”
David Torrans, owner of No Alibis bookshop, added:
