To mark World Book Day, Translink has announced a special initiative that will see 300 children’s books given away at key bus and train stations.

The give-away is part of Translink’s Novel Journeys Book Club which shares book choices each month on Instagram to encourage reading as an enjoyable and beneficial activity for bus and train journeys.

The Novel Journeys Book Club promotes the benefits of reading while travelling, enhancing passenger wellbeing. On World Book Day, lucky young travellers will be able to pick up a complimentary children's book at selected stations, turning their journey into an opportunity to discover new stories and ideas.

The book giveaway will take place at Belfast Grand Central Station, Foyle Street Bus Station, Newry Bus Station, Bangor Bus and Rail Station and Enniskillen Bus Station, with a selection of children’s titles available to suit young readers.
