Saturday Storytime…
Our next Saturday Storytime will take place on Saturday 22nd June at 12pm. We will be reading There's a Beach in my Pants by Michelle Harrison & David Tazzyman.
A day out at the beach leads to the most hilarious of mishaps in this joyously rhyming picture book. There will be colouring in afterwards as always. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
*NEW* Game of the Month…
We are delighted to announce our new Game of the Month is.... Micro Macro: Crime City.
This is a cooperative detective game. Together, its players solve 16 tricky criminal cases by determining motives, finding evidence and convicting the perpetrators.
An attentive eye is just as important as a deductive talent to unravel every riddle on the oversize 75 x 110 cm game board. A magnifying glass is included in the game to help with finding every detail!
One player takes on the role of Lead Investigator, responsible for reading the case cards out loud (but of course they will also help with solving the case!). Together, the players choose which case they want to play, and the Lead Investigator reads out the corresponding start card as well as the first task.
Together, the players explore the map of Crime City to answer all the questions on the case cards, one after another. The game ends as soon as the last case card has been answered correctly.
It requires 1-4 players, is for ages 12+ and gameplay takes around 45 minutes.

Women's Prize for Non-Fiction 2024…
• Doppelganger by Naomi Klein
Deftly following the threads from online keyboard warriors to conspiracy theorists and the instability of democracy itself, this astounding work from the author of No Logo and This Changes Everything tracks the extreme views of a woman frequently mistaken for the author.
