MANAGER VICTORIA MURRAY’S RECOMMENDATION

My recommendation for this week is Still Life by Sarah Winman.

Moving from the Tuscan Hills and piazzas of Florence, to the smog of London’s East End, Still Life is a sweeping, joyful novel about beauty, love, family and fate.

I've read A Year of Marvellous Ways by the same author so knew that I would enjoy this one as well.

There are moments of humour throughout the book but there are also poignant moments as well. This is an enchanting tale of an unlikely friendship between a British soldier and an alleged spy in wartime Tuscany.

If you liked Life After Life by Kate Atkinson or Small Pleasures by Clare Chambers then you will love this book.

This would make the perfect Mother's Day gift!

HALF PRICE!

Half Price this week is Run Rose Run by Dolly Parton and James Patterson.

The country music legend and the bestselling crime writer join forces to craft an unputdownable thriller of glamorous dreams and deadly pasts as a young singer determines to make it big in Nashville.

This is just £10 until Wednesday 16 March - not to be missed!

SATURDAY STORYTIME!

Saturday Storytime is on again on Saturday 19 March at 12pm. We will be reading Grandad’s Camper by Harry Woodgate.

Everyone is welcome and there will be colouring activities as well!
