Now that the Halloween decorations are down and there’s less than 50 days until Christmas Day, This Morning has today announced its Top Toys for the 2024’s festive season.
Host Ben Shephard said:
“This is our secret annual list which is very much loved by you guys [watching] and Steve has the full top toy list!”
ITV1’s award-winning Daytime show This Morning, together with consumer expert Steve Wilson, have done the hard work for the viewers at home by researching and testing all of the latest products, which have been whittled down into this year’s picks - for children big and small!
Ahead of joining the show’s hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley in the studio today, Steve said:
“This Morning’s Top Toys 2024 covers a wide range of items suitable for children of all ages. There’s a whole host of products covering a wide range of price points, starting from £18. The gift guide covers interactive, tech and educational toys, as well as classic and popular franchises such as Fortnite, from household brands like LEGO, Disney and Jellycat.”
Numberblocks One to Five Sensory Bottles, RRP £28
Steve Wilson: “These are such a colourful introduction to counting, and tactile and sensory toys are perfect for young children - but older children won’t be able to help but play with them too.”
4-in-1 Colour and Shape Sorter Chameleon, RRP £34.99
Steve Wilson: “Designed for toddlers over 12 months, this shape-sorter toy features enough lights and sounds to keep your little ones amused. The Shape Sorter Chameleon allows children to learn different skills with games that become more challenging as your child grows.”
MAGNA-TILES, RRP from £34.99
Steve Wilson: “Magna-Tiles is the #1 magnetic building set brand in America, and massively popular with primary school children here in the UK. Limited only by their imagination, these plastic tiles come in plenty of vibrant colours, and can be used to build absolutely anything you can imagine!’’
Yoto Player 3rd Generation, RRP £89.99
Steve Wilson: “This new generation of Yoto is the best yet. Not only is this a night light and wake up/bedtime device, but it also has countless story cards that can be inserted to hear audio of your favourite books. There’s no microphone, no camera and no ads. There’s even a new room thermometer to make sure that everyone is always sleeping comfortably.”
Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Hero Creator Pack, RRP £20
Steve Wilson: “This set lets you use 3 unique fillings to create your very own action figure that can stretch up to three times its original size! Kids will love pumping their own creature full of goo to bring it to life, and you can even reset it to play again repeatedly, which is great value for money.”
Cookeez Makery Freezy Cakez, RRP £40
Steve Wilson: “Surprise reveal toys are very on-trend this year, and the Cookeez Makery Freezy Cakez is perfect for imaginative, interactive play.
“Just mix the ingredients and pop your cake in the fridge to reveal one of three shivering, scented plush toys! The perfect way to cook up a special treat this Christmas.”
Real FX Disney Stitch Puppet Interactive Toy, RRP £79.99
Steve Wilson: “Interactive toys are still at the top of the most wanted toys and this interactive Stitch puppet is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. With over 100 incredible action and sound combinations, the star of Disney’s Lilo and Stitch is sure to keep your little ones entertained.”
LEGO Fortnite, from £34.99
Steve Wilson: “Online video game Fortnite, originally launched in 2017 has gone from strength to strength, and now family favourite brand LEGO is taking the action offline with their new sets, featuring fan-favourite characters like Peely Bone and the Supply Llama. At almost 700 pieces, they’re sure to keep things screen-free for a little bit!”
Luke Littler Dartboard Cabinet Set, RRP £70
Steve Wilson: “Aimed at an older child, this darts set is a collaboration with Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler who was a finalist in the 2024 PDC world darts championship. The set includes a competition standard dart board and steel tip darts, alongside scoreboard and charts - making it the perfect set for both beginners and seasoned players.”
Jellycat Amuseables, RRP from £18
Steve Wilson: “Jellycat celebrated their 25th anniversary this year, and have become a social media sensation! Gaining in popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic, Jellycat products have gone on to reportedly gain billions of views on TikTok!
