Do you live in Northern Ireland’s next House Of The Year?

If your home has the potential to be crowned BBC Northern Ireland’s next House Of The Year, there is still time to enter it for this year’s series before filming starts this spring.

From cosy cottages to ambitious new builds and terrific terraces, the House Of The Year programme wants to hear from anyone who has put their personal stamp on a living space and transformed it into their dream home.

Design expert and TV personality Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen will be back to host the new series and will be joined by expert judges Jane Larmour, James Fairley and Patricia McGinnis, who will decide which homes make the final shortlist.

Laurence says:

“I will be back in Northern Ireland very soon and cannot wait to see inside more of your fabulous homes. It doesn’t matter what type of house you live in, what really matters is how much heart and soul you’ve poured into creating your perfect home.

“We want to see spaces that reflect your own personal style or vision, so if you think you live in Northern Ireland’s next House Of The Year, please visit the website and tell us about it!”

Melmore House a detached period property in County Down, transformed by owners Fiona and Jonathan into a modern property,  took home the House Of The Year 2024 title.

Fiona says:

“It was lovely to get recognition for all the hard work we have put into creating our home and to know that the judges appreciated it as well is really special.

“I loved meeting the other finalists and swapping stories and would encourage anyone to enter House Of The Year as being part of the series was lots of fun.”

The 2024 series also featured homes in Bangor, Ballymena, Belfast, and counties Armagh, Tyrone and Down.

The competition is now open at House of the Year 2025 - House of the Year - Send - BBC and all entries must be received by 23.59pm on Friday 14th February 2024.
