The Home of Guinness has this week announced an amplified visitor experience for its Christmas programme with a multi-media art installation with world renowned visual artist, GRIF.
The ‘Welcome Home’ to Christmas at the Guinness Storehouse experience, which is curated by the Irish award-winning artist, runs from Wednesday 23rd November – Friday 6th January. Wherever you’re visiting from this Christmas, you’ll feel the warm embrace of home at the Guinness Storehouse.
The visitor experience includes a state-of-the-art projection mapped Christmas tree installation in the Atrium that measures 16-metres, a cinematic film inspired by the iconic surge of a Guinness pint, and bespoke large scale prints created exclusively for the Home of Guinness.
Toast the holidays with friends over a pint of Guinness in the Gravity Bar whilst enjoying the best view in Dublin of the winter skyline.
Visitors can also enjoy special Christmas-themed STOUTies and warming cups of mulled Guinness, celebrating the magic of Christmas behind the famous snow-capped Guinness gates.
The Guinness Storehouse joins a select list of cultural collaborations for GRIF including brands such as Louis Vuitton, Givenchy and Apple.
Speaking on the collaboration, New York based artist GRIF said:
“Guinness and St. James’s Gate are synonymous with Christmas at home in Ireland. Being asked to collaborate with the Guinness Storehouse team to reimagine the big ‘Welcome Home’ in a new medium has been a great honour.
“I drew inspiration from the surge and settle of the Guinness liquid, the iconic colour palette, and the rich gold tones of the Guinness harp, to craft an abstract visual journey through everything that Guinness embodies. I’m excited to make it home this Christmas to see family and friends, and see these pieces within the Storehouse itself.”
Whether you’re visiting Dublin for Christmas shopping or to reunite with friends and family this year, The Home of Guinness invites you to get the Christmas feels across its seven level experience this festive season with pop up live entertainment and festive fayre.
‘Welcome Home’ at the Guinness Storehouse opens on Wednesday 23rd November at 10am. The GRIF installation is included in each experience ticket. Prices start from €29.
