COMMITTED to promoting job creation, skills development and assisting disadvantaged adults within the local area, independent charity, The Gallaher Trust is teaming up with Ballymena Chamber of Commerce and Industry to host the Making a Difference (MAD) Business Breakfast.
Taking place on Thursday 21 November in the Tullyglass Hotel, Ballymena, the event will be an opportunity for businesses, social enterprises and charities to find out more about the work of the Trust and its current delivery partners, alongside learning how partnering with the charity can effect positive change on the local community.
Since its inception in 2017, The Gallaher Trust has committed £2.8 million to various delivery partner projects which have created over 360 jobs, provided support to over 1,600 disadvantaged adults and developed skills for over 1,500 adults.
With the next round of delivery partner applications opening in January 2025, attendees will hear from a representative of The Gallaher Trust while learning more about the inspiring success stories from various academies and programmes, including the Manufacturing Academy, the NI Hospitality School and Ballymena Business Centre’s 4i Innovation programme.
Speaking ahead of the Business Breakfast, Ian Paisley, Chairman of The Gallaher Trust commented:
“This occasion is a celebration of how partnerships can truly change lives, while also actively inviting new ideas and collaborative efforts that will drive future success.
“Our current delivery partners are integral to the work we do, establishing programmes and academies that foster skills development, create job opportunities and assist disadvantaged adults.
“I would encourage all local businesses, social enterprises and charities to attend the upcoming MAD Business Breakfast to learn more about our work, and how together we can make a real difference to our community and the lives of those within it.”

The MAD Business Breakfast event is open to all stakeholders and organisations that are interested in learning more about the Trust, its work and the delivery partner opportunities available. It will take place on Thursday 21st November from 8:30am – 10am in the Tullyglass Hotel, Ballymena.
