Take 5, take time to GrOw a GO with free workshops at Jubilee Farm

Taking place over the next weeks, Jubilee Farm in Larne is set to host a series of FREE workshops under the banner 'Give Time to GrOw a GO', supported by the Public Health Agency through the Clear Project.


These events are designed to promote wellbeing through the 'Take 5' steps: Connect, Be Active, Keep Learning, Give to Others, and Take Notice.



Workshop Highlights:


- Conserving Together: Led by Matt Williams, these sessions introduce participants to conservation and biodiversity. Participants will engage in sensory exploration and learn to monitor and record nature's changes. The next session takes place on February 10th, from 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. - Growing Together: Tim Davies will guide participants through the basics of vegetable planting, seed saving, and coping with environmental changes. Sessions run on January 31st and February 7th from 2pm-5pm, and additional sessions on February 22nd and March 1st from 10am-1pm. Book for the first set here and for the second set here.

- Love to 'Take 5' (St Brigid's): A celebration of new beginnings with hands-on activities like making St Brigid's crosses, breath work, meditation, and feeding sheep. The next aession is on February 8th from 10am-1pm. Book your spot here.

- Wander in Wonder (Bird ID & Art): Explore bird identification and engage in a watercolour painting session with Tim Davies and Steve Diamond.


Sessions are scheduled for February 11th, 18th, and 25th, starting with a unique watercolour workshop on the 11th. Reserve your place here.


- How We Care for Animals: Learn animal husbandry with Tim Davies, focusing on care during changing weather conditions. Sessions occur on February 14th, 21st, and 28th from 10am-1pm. Book now.



- Cook to Care: Portia Woods leads this workshop on cooking with farm-fresh ingredients, focusing on sustainability and community. Sessions are on February 17th, 24th, March 3rd, and 10th from 10am-1pm. Join the cooking experience here.

All workshops are held at Jubilee Farm, 50 Glenburn Road, Larne BT40 3JY. They are free, but booking is essential due to limited spaces. Attendees are advised to wear suitable attire for outdoor activities, as most workshops take place in the farm setting.


These events are tailored for those aged 16+, requiring a reasonable level of mobility due to the farm environment.
