St Louis Grammar School is pleased to announce The JAQ Group as the headline sponsor of their Centenary Gala Ball.

The culmination of the school’s Centenary celebrations in 2024, the Gala Ball will take place at the Tullyglass House Hotel on Saturday 9 November.

Jacqui O’Neill, Principal of St Louis Grammar, said:

“I am delighted that The JAQ Group, and its founder, Connor Martin, have agreed to be the main sponsor of the Ball. As a recent past pupil of St Louis Connor has achieved great success with The JAQ Group. It has been wonderful to watch his career, the growth of his business and to see the jobs he has created locally.

“As we look forward to the next 100 years of exceptional education in Ballymena the Centenary Ball will be raising funds for a key project at St Louis.

“The demand for science provision has grown exponentially over the last decade and all proceeds from the Ball will go towards providing two new, modern, science rooms to help meet this need and to benefit all pupils. These will be the first new science rooms in over 30 years in the school and a fitting testament to our Centenary celebrations”.

Connor Martin, Founder and Chief Executive of The JAQ Group, said:

“I have always very much appreciated my time at St Louis Grammar. The school and the excellent teachers there gave me a sound grounding in business. I’m particularly pleased that the Ball will be raising funds to provide two new Science rooms. As a pupil I was always experimenting with different blends of perfumes to create new fragrances!

“The new science facilities will only improve the current pupil’s experience at St Louis and help to produce the next generation of scientists and entrepreneurs”.

Connor has also donated a rather special auction prize for the night. The winning bidder will have the opportunity to work with Connor to create their very own bespoke perfume, name it and even design the packaging. It’s a unique prize, a chance to work with one of the leading innovators in the world of perfume and eCommerce and come up with your very own fragrance.

The Gala Ball will be compered by former pupil Declan Lawn, fresh from the success of series two of ‘Blue Lights’ and will feature a selection of entertainment and performances from past pupils, including the very talented ‘Celtic Woman’, Tara McNeill. It promises to a spectacular evening celebrating all that is good about St Louis Grammar School.
