
A number of searches have been carried out in the Ballymena area over the weekend after police arrested a man on suspicion of drug related offences.
The 36-year-old man was arrested at the Galgorm Road area of the town on Sunday afternoon, 16 April, during which a quantity of suspected Class A, Class B and Class C drugs were recovered.
Following the incident officers were seen searching grass areas at Crebilly Road, near the Ballykeel 2 estate.
A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed:
"Subsequent searches of a property at the Orkney Drive area of Ballymena and a property at the Old Green Road area of Kells were carried out, with nothing recovered.
"The man remains in police custody at this time".
