Ryanair, has today (08 Feb) announced 4 new domestic routes to Edinburgh from Belfast, Bournemouth, Cornwall and London Stansted as part of its Summer ’23 schedule.
The new route from Belfast International will see 10 connecting flights each week to and from the Scottish capital city.
Ryanair has responded to the UK Govt’s 50% Air Passenger Duty (APD) cut for domestic travel from April ’23, with the opening of new domestic routes, incl. Edinburgh to Belfast, Bournemouth, Cornwall and London Stansted.
Ryanair has called for the government to go further and make cuts for international routes as well, saying: "This 50% reduction ignores international connectivity which is fundamental for the growth of the UK’s economy and tourism. Ryanair calls again on the UK Govt to fully abolish APD for all travel immediately, which would not only promote tourism, but support much needed connectivity to the UK – an island-based economy on the edge of Europe".
To celebrate the launch of these 4 new routes, Ryanair has launched a special seat sale for early bird customers looking to bag themselves a bargain on their Summer ‘23 holiday with fares from just £29.99 available now on Ryanair.com.
Ryanair’s Dara Brady added:
“We are delighted to be bringing even more choice and value to our customers in the UK with the addition of these 4 new Edinburgh routes to our Summer ‘23 schedule, offering our customers in Belfast, Bournemouth Cornwall and London even more choice when planning their long-awaited summer holidays.
"To mark this good news, we’ve launched a special seat sale for early bird customers looking to bag themselves a bargain on their Summer ’23 holiday with fares from just £29.99 available now on Ryanair.com.
