Ballymena man Aaron Cairns has been announced as a finalist for Advisor of the Year in the upcoming prestigious Contact Centre Network Northern Ireland (CCNNI) Awards, which are set to take place this week on Thursday evening, 26th October.

Staff from across Customer Solutions at Power NI have been shortlisted in no fewer than 11 different categories. All together the company - part of Energia Group – has 14 finalists in a variety of categories, including the local man.

Commenting on his nomination for the special recognition, Aaron said:

"When I was even nominated for Advisor of the Year, it was such a surprise to me. I felt so overwhelmed and emotional because I never realised how much I meant to my boss and the team.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank Aisling Wright, my former Team Leader, and her Manager Paul Mellon for putting so much trust and belief in me when I was still an agent/senior. I also want to thank all the COT team that I've worked with for trusting me and showing me massive support.

"I'm just soaking up the praise and recognition for all the hard work I've put in."

The black-tie awards ceremony, taking place in Belfast’s Hilton Hotel, will celebrate excellence in customer service in Northern Ireland, with Power NI’s potential awards success again demonstrating the company’s unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding customer service at every level.

This acknowledgement highlights Power NI’s continued growth, and the importance it continues to place on developing customer relationships and providing excellent customer service.

“Winning CCNNI Contact Centre Manager of the Year is something I will never forget,” he said, “and on a personal level, the night itself was unforgettable.“It was a special moment for me, and it was fantastic to be able to celebrate the achievement with my friends and colleagues.

"I have worked for Power NI for more than 10 years and I owe the CCNNI Award – and my success – to the company, especially my managers who recognised my potential and have continued to help and support my personal development over the years”.

Open to any NI-based customer service function, contact centre, shared service centre, IT or customer helpdesk employing a minimum of five staff, the CCNNI annual awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of the people and companies who make up Northern Ireland’s customer contact industry.
