Boots Pharmacy on Queen Street, Ballymena
Police in Ballymena are investigating a burglary at the Boots pharmacy in the Queen Street area Harryville during the early hours of this morning, Monday 14th October.
A police spokesperson said:
“At approximately 2.30am police received a report that the premises had been entered in the Queen Street area.
“On arrival of officers, a smashed window was observed at the property – believed to have been caused by a brick or other masonry.
“Items were strewn across the floor of the pharmacy and enquiries are ongoing to determine exactly what was taken.”
The pharmacy was closed on Monday morning while staff cleaned up, but the shop has since reopened with normal hours in operation.
The police spokesperson added:
“We are keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area – including a man who was wearing trainers, a tracksuit with its hood up and a beanie hat at approximately 2am.
