Police investigate after newspaper delivery van stolen outside shop in Antrim

Police are investigating the theft of a van from outside a shop in the Main Street area of Parkgate in the early hours of this morning.


The owner of the van, Stephen Doherty, shared images of his van on social media, seeking the public’s help for any information and sightings. Stephen said the van was last seen heading in the direction of Kells, Ballymena.



The van carries the original registration BN65 VWD, although this can be easily changed. It also has a light bar on the roof at the rear of the vehicle.


A police spokesperson commented:

 

”It was reported at around 4.50am that a van which had been parked outside the shop had been stolen.



“Enquiries are ongoing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident  to contact 101 quoting reference number CW 318 - 22/12/24.
