Police charge man (27) following burglaries and assault in Ahoghill

Police in Ballymena investigating a number of incidents in the Ahoghill area on Thursday 31st August have charged a 27 year old man with a number of offences.


These include assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated vehicle taking, burglary, criminal damage, driving whilst disqualified and dangerous driving.



The charges come after police received reports of burglaries in The Croft, the Cullybackey Road and Brooklands areas of Ahoghill on Thursday evening. A report was also received of an assault on a woman in the Main Street area of the village.


The man is due to appear at Antrim Magistrates Court on Saturday 2nd September.



As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
