Crebilly Road, Ballymena where pipelaying works is taking place for planned development at the former site of the Knockeen Lodge

NI Water is nearing completion of pipelaying works to support a new development on the Crebilly Road, Ballymena.

To install part of the last section of pipelines into the new development in the safest possible manner, a road closure will be implemented on Crebilly Road on Sunday 16th February.

Following the road closure, the remainder of the pipelaying will be completed under a lane closure on Crebilly Road.

The road closure on Crebilly Road will extend from Orkney Drive to Staffa Drive and will be in place on Sunday 16th February from 7am until 7pm. A signed diversion route will be in place throughout this time.

Access to houses within the road closure/working area on Crebilly Road will be facilitated throughout the work, although parking may be affected for short durations. Pedestrian access will be available at all times.

Please be aware that construction sites are dangerous areas for unauthorised persons, especially children, and we would appreciate the co-operation of the public in ensuring that children do not play in or around any site or machinery. Working areas will have warning signs in place to protect the public from any hazards. The public are advised to stay out of these working areas for their own safety.

NI Water’s project team including contractor CivCo would like to thank local residents, businesses and motorists for their patience while we undertake this work to support new development in Ballymena.
