FANUC, a leading manufacturer of factory automation and robots and competition partner for WorldSkills are hosting a training event in Coventry next week for students preparing for the Industrial Robotics category at the WorldSkills National Finals coming up in November.

Hannah Currie a HLA apprentice with Wrightbus, and a Foundation Degree student in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering at Northern Regional College is attending alongside her teammate Peter O’Neill, who completed a Foundation Degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the college and is continuing his degree in BEng Mechanical with Ulster University.

Hannah and Peter teamed up in February 2023 to enter the WorldSkills UK National competition in Industrial Robotics. Their team produced a great result in the Northern Ireland Qualifier, held in Northern Regional College in June and qualified for the National Final.
