Dash O’ The O’rish
Set to take place this weekend, festivities will start with the Dash O’ The O’rish (sponsored by The Brown Trout Inn) at the iconic Bushmills Distillery on Saturday, August 31st, from 5 to 7pm.
This year, Bushmills will transform into a haven for Mini lovers, expecting to welcome around 200 of these charming vehicles for an evening filled with fun and flair.
Mini owners are encouraged to take part, showcasing their creativity in the fancy dress, with this year’s theme being ‘Sapphire’ - all things blue! There will also be a ballot during the evening.
The evening will include a Raffle and prizes for best fancy dress and themed cars.
As part of the celebrations of the 65th birthday of the Mini, the Dash will take place with the Minis travelling on a scenic run from Bushmills to Portstewart.
Registration will take place from 5:30pm at Bushmills Distillery car park, with the Dash O' The O'rish taking place at 7:00pm.
The Super Sunday Show & Morelli’s Italian Ice Cream Job Cavalcade
The excitement continues into Sunday, September 1st, with The Morelli’s Italian Ice Cream Job (Super Sunday Show).
The super static show at West Bay Car Park, Portrush provides an amazing site and a fantastic view of the Atlantic, and is a perfect backdrop to the biggest Mini/MINI show in the country!
This event is anticipated to be even grander, with close to 500 cars on display, making it a spectacular sight for car enthusiasts and families alike. The day's attractions include various traders, auto-jumble, bouncy castles for the kids, and the return of the visually stunning 'Kites on the Beach'.
The Static Show will come to a close with a presentation of prizes donated by JKC Mini and the day will conclude with the Morelli's Italian Ice-Cream Job Cavalcade!
Visitors are encouraged to indulge in a Morelli’s ice cream while they admire the array of both classic and modern BMW Minis, potentially inspiring their next car purchase.
If you would like to join the display on the day online entry is available here.
For health and safety reasons and in accordance with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, no entries will be permitted after 1:00pm. Once parked, vehicles must not be moved until the cavalcade starts.
Causeway Coast Mini Club
The CCMC, established in 1996, has been a staple in the community, hosting an annual event that not only celebrates the Mini in all its forms but also supports local charities. This year, the chosen charity is Dementia NI, following last year's support for the Air Ambulance NI.
The club prides itself on its community spirit, retaining many of its original members while continuously welcoming new enthusiasts of both classic and contemporary Minis.
Dash O’ The O’rish, the Super Sunday Show, and The Morelli’s Italian Ice Cream Job Cavalcade promises a weekend of delightful family fun, combining the love for cars with community support and fun activities.
Whether you're a Mini owner, a car enthusiast, or just looking for a unique way to spend your weekend, the Causeway Coast Mini Club invites one and all to join in the festivities!
