Met Office issues weather warning: Colder temperatures and more snow on the way

A further yellow weather warning has been issued today by the Met Office advising that snow and icy patches leading to some disruption to travel across Northern Ireland.


The latest weather advisory is effective from 3:00pm today, Tuesday 7th January, to 12:00 noon on Wednesday 8th January.



A Met Office spokesperson commented:


“Showers of rain and sleet near coasts, and snow inland, will continue to affect Northern Ireland this afternoon and into this evening.


“Overnight, showers should become confined to coastal areas. With winds easing, it is likely to be a much colder night than last night, bringing widespread frost and icy patches.”
