Ahead of upcoming public holidays, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has provided details for bin collections, as well as household recycling centre (HRC) and toilet closures for St. Patrick’sDay, Easter and May Bank Holidays 2024.
Bin Collections
Mid and East Antrim Borough Council would like to advise residents that it will be normal collections for bins on the St. Patrick’s Day Bank Holiday (18 March), Easter Monday and Tuesday (1 and 2 April), and May Bank Holidays (6 and 27 May), with the below exception:
• Ballymena – Monday 1 April 2024 will be collected on Saturday 30 March 2024.
• Carrickfergus - Monday 1 April 2024 will be collected on Saturday 30 March 2024.
Bryson Kerbside Boxes
There will be normal kerbside box collections on theSt. Patrick’s Bank Holiday (18 March), Easter Tuesday (2 April) and May Bank Holidays (6 and 27 May).
Ballymena and Carrickfergus kerbside collections for 1 April 2024 will be collected on Saturday 30 March 2024.
Household Recycling Centres (HRCs)
All Household Recycling Centres will be closed on the listed Bank Holidays:
• Monday 18 March
• Monday 1 April
• Tuesday 2 April
• Monday 6 May
• Monday 27 May
Toilet Closures
All MEA toilets are open on St. Patrick’s Day, Easter Monday and Tuesday and May Bank Holidays, with the exception to:
Ballymena: Toilets in Broughshane, Cullybackey and Portglenone will be closed on Monday 1st April (Easter Monday)
