The Marconi Run, one of County Antrim’s popular community running events, is set to return to Ballycastle on Sunday, 25 May 2025, with McAuley Freight confirmed as the principal sponsor.

Organised by Ballycastle Runners, the 5K race promises a memorable day for participants and spectators alike, combining a scenic coastal route, a challenging yet rewarding climb, and a vibrant post-race celebration.

The event will commence at 10am from the tennis courts at Ballycastle’s picturesque seafront, drawing runners of all abilities to take on a course renowned for its beauty and variety.

The flat, fast stretch along Carrickmore Road offers an invigorating start, before participants tackle a testing ascent towards Corrymeela. The climb is well worth the effort, as the descent rewards runners with breathtaking views of the Causeway Coast, widely regarded as some of the finest in the region. The route then loops back to the seafront, where the finish line awaits.
