On the stroke of midnight, September 30, 2024, Mandy Johnston, a dedicated Coastguard Rescue Officer, turned off her pager for the last time, marking the end of an illustrious 26-year career with His Majesty's Coastguard.


Known for her unwavering commitment to maritime safety, Mandy has left an indelible mark on both the local community and the broader coastal areas she served.



Throughout her tenure, Mandy was at the forefront of numerous emergency responses. From vessels running aground to cliff-side rescues, her career was as varied as it was vital.
