Three police land rover vehicles can be seen arriving at the scene and it appears that a man stepped in front of the lead vehicle before falling to the ground.

A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland commented:

“Shortly after 9.25pm last night, Monday 26th August, it was reported that a police vehicle and a pedestrian were involved in a collision in the Hillside Road area of Armoy.

“A man in his 50s had made contact with a police vehicle which was responding to a separate incident regarding anti-social behaviour.

“The man was taken to hospital by colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service to be examined, but luckily his injuries were considered minor and not life threatening.
