
Police in Ballymena have charged a 27-year-old man assault on police, obstructing police, possession of a Class B Controlled drug and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
The male was arrested in the Spence Crescent area of Cullybackey early on Thursday morning, February 20, after becoming aggressive towards officers who were conducting enquiries.
A number of police Armed Response Vehicles (ARV) were tasked to the scene of the incident.
During the incident officers seized a number of items from the property.
He is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Friday 14th March. As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
