Man arrested and items seized in Cullybackey

Police have arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of obstructing police, assault on police, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and possession of Class B controlled drugs.
He was arrested this morning, Thursday 20th February, in the Spence Crescent area of Cullybackey after becoming aggressive towards officers who were conducting enquiries.
It is understood a number of police Armed Response Vehicles (ARV) were tasked to the scene.
A number of items were also seized from the property.
The man remains in custody at this time as enquiries continue.
