Detectives investigating burglaries in Broughshane on Saturday 8 June, have charged a 35-year-old man to court.
It was reported to police on that date that a business premises on Main Street and a church building in the Buckna Road area had been entered overnight.
At that time police believed a till was opened and rummaged through and a sum of money was taken, as well as a mobile phone from the business premises.
A number of electrical goods, including televisions and recording equipment were stolen from the church after access was gained through the rear of the building.
This morning (Thursday 18 July) a man was arrested and taken to Antrim Police Station. Detectives say he has been charged with two counts of burglary, and is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 8th August.
As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
