Local Rock Choirs were excited to provide the musical backdrop for some of the dancers at the recent launch of “Let’s Dance”, a nationwide initiative led by Angela Rippon CBE with the mission of getting more people dancing together, regardless of age, fitness level or experience.
Dancing under the dome in 2RA (2 Royal Avenue, Belfast) spectators were delighted with the collaboration of dance and song, providing an entertaining experience.
Rachel Coulter, Choir Leader said:
“What a fantastic event! Let’s Dance at 2 Royal Avenue. It was a brilliant opportunity for my members to team up with other Rock Choirs and provide the music/singing for some brave and fantastic dancers.”
Let’s Dance is a national campaign to inspire everyone in the UK to embrace dance as a way to improve their health, connect with others, and have fun.

Founded by Angela Rippon CBE, the campaign is supported by leading organisations including the NHS, the Sport and Recreation Alliance and Parkinson’s UK. Further classes/events are being planned; please contact Victoria at First Dance NI on Facebook for info.
