Last week Sixth Form students from Slemish College braved the freezing temperatures and icy footpaths to deliver festive gift bags to local residents living near the school in Ballymena.
The gifts were purchased with money donated by the students during Kindness Week last month, incorporating Kindness Day UK, celebrated annually on 13 November. It is a day to celebrate and promote kindness in all its forms.
A college spokesperson said:
“During Kindness Week in November our Sixth Form students donated money to buy the gifts and decided to reach out to our local community with a small gesture of thanks for being such good neighbours.
"We wish you a safe and Happy Christmas”.
