The streets of Ballymena are set to come alive with little ghosts, witches, and all manner of spooky fancy dress creations this Halloween at the much-anticipated Ballymena Trick or Treat Trail.
Scheduled for Thursday, October 31st, starting at 2pm, this event promises a day filled with fun, frights, and fantastic prizes.
A Day of Ghoulish Delight
Set to bring a real buzz to the streets of Ballymena town centre, families can enjoy this free thrilling event where all the community from near and far can take part.
The event kicks off at the Fairhill Shopping Centre, where participants will meet the Ballymena Spook Team (BID), collect their trail sheets, and enter the fancy dress competition by 4pm for a shot at some enviable prizes.
What's in Store for Trailblazers?
- Prizes Galore: Participants stand a chance to win Ballymena Gift Cards in categories like Best Dressed Family, Best Dressed Boy, Best Dressed Girl, and special gifts for the Best Dressed Little Kiddies under five. Creativity in costumes is highly encouraged!
- Treats Along the Trail: With 11 stops along the route, attendees will gather treats ranging from candies to small Halloween-themed goodies. Participants are advised to bring their own pots or bags to collect their treats.
- Face Painting Fun: Before setting out on the trail, children can get their faces painted by the professionals from Glitterbug NI at Fairhill, ensuring they look the part for their Halloween adventure.
The Trail Experience
The trail is designed to be a self-guided adventure through Ballymena. After you’ve geared up and collected your trail sheet, follow the path around the town to discover all the tricks and treats that await you.
While the Spook Team won't lead the trail, they'll be available at the start to help with competition entries.
The Grand Finale
The excitement doesn't end with the trail. At 5pm, everyone is invited to gather at the Tower Centre for the announcement of the fancy dress competition winners. It's an opportunity for participants to showcase their collected treats and celebrate their Halloween haul.
Join the Halloween Festivities
The event organisers are encouraging attendees to confirm their participation in the comments section of the event's social media page, share the event to spread the word, and bring along family and friends for a memorable day out.
"This year's Trick or Treat Trail is not just about the treats; it's about creating a community event where families can come together, have fun, and make lasting memories," said one of the event coordinators.
So, mark your calendars for October 31st, dress in your Halloween best, and join Ballymena for an afternoon where the spirit of Halloween truly comes to life. Let the Ballymena Trick or Treat Trail be your destination for a day of enchantment and excitement!
