The festive season is set to sparkle as the Jingle All the Way Day makes its annual return to Ballymena town centre on Saturday, December 7th, from 10am to 3:30pm!

This free family event not only promises a day filled with holiday cheer but also aims to support a vital local cause.

The event, organised by the Ballymena NI Hospice Support Group, features a lineup of entertainment that includes performances by DJ Roy Bell, various school choirs, and the Ballymena Ukulele Group (BUG) at the Harmony Hub on Broadway.

Greenvale Street will also be alive with activities like face painting, balloon modelling, and appearances by much-loved Christmas characters, providing plenty of opportunities to make memories and of course, to take selfies!

The local Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) crew will be on hand to offer insights into their community services alongside a close-up view of a fire engine!

Adding to the festive atmosphere, a specially formed Pipe Band will perform at the entrance to the Tower Centre on Greenvale Street. Local businesses such as K.G. McAtamney, Follow Coffee, and The Party Zone are also contributing to the day's festive spirit.

The highlight for many will undoubtedly be the Santa Bus, which will tour the town, offering treats for all who board. The bus stop for this magical ride is located on Broadway Avenue.

While all entertainment is free, volunteers will be present with donation buckets throughout the town to collect contributions for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. This service, the only one of its kind in the province, provides care for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and supports their families. Partially funded by the government, the Hospice relies heavily on community generosity.

The Ballymena NI Hospice Support Group extends its gratitude to Ballymena BID, Etherson Transport, Mid and East Antrim Council, and local businesses whose support has made this event possible.

This event not only marks a day of community celebration but also an opportunity to give back, ensuring that the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice can continue its invaluable work.

Visitors are encouraged to come early to enjoy all the activities and perhaps catch a photo with one of the many movie characters roaming the town for a memorable day out!
