
A man in his 30s has been sentenced in relation to a number of burglaries and thefts from rural properties in Antrim Crown Court on Thursday 6th March.
Samuel Todd, 39, was sentenced for 18 burglaries, 11 thefts, one count of criminal damage and one count of attempted burglary.
He received a sentence of 4 years and 6 months, half to be served in custody and half on license.
Samuel Todd was arrested on 16th July 2022, following reports of a number of burglaries and thefts from properties in the Ballymena area between June 2022 and April 2023. The estimated loss to the victims was estimated to be in excess of £80,000.
This sentencing offers reassurance that we remain committed to disrupting the activities of those involved with criminality and will use what means possible to bring people before the courts.
