
Officers from His Majesty’s Revenue & Service (HMRC) arrived out search operations at a number of business premises in County Antrim, including Ballymena, on Thursday morning, 27 March.
Eyewitness reports state a number of HMRC Officers in several vehicles visited a food store premises in the Linenhall Street area of the town around mid-morning.
A spokesperson for HMRC commented:
“We can confirm we had officers working across several premises in the County Antrim area this morning (27 March 2025).
“We seized 11,340 mixed-brand cigarettes, 400g of hand-rolling tobacco and 43.25 litres of mixed-brand wine and spirits.
“No arrests have been made.”
