Get ready for a spectacular display of wildflowers as the annual Bluebell Festival returns to Portglenone Forest on Saturday, April 27th from 11am to 3pm.
This free family-friendly event is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in nature's beauty and witness the forest floor carpeted in a sea of vibrant bluebells.
Enjoy exploring the ancient woodlands while following the trails at your own pace, or join a guided Walk and Talk with knowledgable locals, Damien and Ciaran, beginning at 11:45am and 1:45pm, to hear the stories these trees hold.
Wild Yoga sessions will provide the opportunity to relax and stretch among the trees with Linda Stevenson. Please bring your own yoga mat. Sessions will begin at 11:30am and 1:00pm.
You can also take part in a Nature Wander with members of the Forest Service on this nature themed wander, discover the bluebells and beyond. Setting off at 12:00pm and 2:00pm.
The day will also feature a variety of activities and entertainment, making it a fun-filled day out for everyone. All day fun and experiences include bushcraft, orienteering, pop-up play, planting and face painting!
Special guests Ulster Wildlife, RSPB and the Community Rescue Service teams will be in attendance throughout the day and will be happy to chat and share about the vital work carried out by the organisations across Northern Ireland.
Maguire will be setting the vibes and bringing the entertainment with fantastic live music.
