ANPR Interceptor Team officers working with Road Policing officers from Steeple stopped two vehicles in the Causeway Coast & Glens, and Antrim & Newtownabbey areas on Friday, June 10.
Interceptor Team employed the use of pre-emptive tactics to prevent the likelihood of a pursuit.
A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) commented:
“The vehicles and occupants were suspected of being involved in burglaries of commercial properties where a large number of tobacco products and mobile phones were taken.
“Four persons were arrested on Suspicion of Burglary and are currently assisting detectives in Coleraine with their enquiries.
“A large amount of currency, suspected stolen tobacco products, suspected stolen mobile phones and equipment believed to have been used in the commission of the offences were seized during searches of the vehicles, the vehicles were also seized.”
