Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) have been tasked this afternoon, Tuesday 11 February, after receiving a report of a fire at a farmyard in the Crebilly area of Ballymena.
Black plumes of smoke were seen from across the town rising into the sky from the scene of the incident.
NIFRS received the report at around 4:20pm of the blaze at an address on the Crebilly Road and subsequently dispatched two Appliances to the incident - one from Ballymena, and a second from Antrim.
it is understood large quantities of rubbish and tyres are on fire and crews are currently tackling the blaze.
The incident is on-going.
