Autumn is a truly magical time of year, and there's no better way to celebrate it than with a visit to one of Antrim and Newtownabbey's many upcoming harvest markets.
These free, family events are taking place in Ballyclare, Antrim, Randalstown, and Crumlin throughout October and are sure to offer something for everyone, from delicious, local food and crafts to fun-filled activities for the kids.
Ballyclare: On Saturday 14 October, Ballyclare Town Hall will be transformed into a bustling harvest market from 11am to 3pm, with stalls selling everything from fresh produce and baked goods to handmade crafts and gifts.
There will also be face painting, a slime factory, a petting farm, and a visit from the Sanderson Sisters walkabout characters to keep the kids entertained. Live music, a bubble bike, mobile archery and a carousel will complete the festivities.
Antrim: Ulster Bar Corner will host its first harvest ever market on Saturday 21 October, with a similar line-up of activities, including a food and craft market, face painting, a slime factory, a petting farm, princess and superhero walkabout characters, live music, a bubble bike, mobile archery, and a carousel. Festivities start at 11am and come to a close at 3pm.
Randalstown Harvest Fair, taking place on Sunday 22 October, will be held in the John Street Car Park from 12pm to 4pm.
This event will feature a food and craft market, face painting, a slime factory, a petting farm, Sanderson Sisters walkabout characters, live music, a bubble bike, mobile archery, and three inflatables.
Crumlin Halloween Bazaar, which will take place on Sunday 27 October in Crumlin Glen from 3pm to 8pm, is the perfect way to kick off the Halloween half-term.
This event will feature a food and craft market, face painting, a slime factory, a petting farm, Sanderson Sisters walkabout characters, superhero and princess walkabout characters, live music, mobile archery, a bubble bike, a carousel and two inflatables. Fancy dress is encouraged!
