Autumn affords each of us the heady mix of sentimental reflection and nostalgic yearning, remembering long-gone school days or how excited we used to be as children, knowing Halloween and Christmas were just around the corner.
Donning heavy coats and woolly hats as seasons change, bringing colder days, sitting by a roaring fire and sharing memories and tales from yesterday are to be enjoyed.
This October Mid and East Antrim Borough Council are inviting you to come along and meet wonderfully talented local storytellers, Franci Simpson and Becky Disley at the 'Folktales by the Fire' events to be held at Arthur Cottage, Cullybackey, and Andrew Jackson Cottage & US Rangers Museum, Carrickfergus.
Both storytellers will have you wrapped up in local legends and folklore as they tell you about myths, legends and classic tales from the local area.
As you gather round the fire watching it spit and crackle, listen to the tales of bygone years as it all becomes real...
No booking necessary pop in as the stories will operate throughout the hour!
