Enjoy the North West 200 build up as Council invites you to Beach Races

Causeway Coast and Glens Events team invites you to a packed programme this May, including the new for 2025 Beach Races at Portrush East Strand.
As racing fans prepare for both the North West 200 and the Joey 25 celebration, the introduction of this new event will be facilitated by Knock Motorcycle Club from 11.45am – 6.30pm on Friday 9th May.
On the day visitors will be able to enjoy beach race categories including youth solos, quads and a girl’s section. With trophy presentations at the following times:
• 11.45am – 2.30pm Youth solos, quads and girls
• 2:30pm – 3:00pm Youth Presentation
• 3:30pm – 6:00pm Adults solos, Quads and Ladies
• 6:00pm – 6.30pm Adults Presentation.

Furthermore there will be an opportunity for spectators to be amazed by Trialstars Motorcycle Trials Display Team who will be holding demonstrations in East Strand car park.
There will also be the old favourites such as Meet the Riders giving you a chance to get up close with the North West 200 riders between 1pm – 2.30pm at The Diamond, Coleraine
The programme will conclude with an Outdoor Concert at The Crescent, Portstewart between 8pm – 10pm with music by the fabulous Cellar Door and fireworks at 10pm to round the days events off.

Parking will be available in all the town centre car parks and The Bowl, with a number of pre-bookable Disabled parking available in East Strand Car Park. For booking contact our Visitor Information on 028 7776 0650.
