Cullybackey and District Historical Society are excited to announce an upcoming special evening with Joe Mahon, of the popular UTV series 'Mahon's Way'.
The local society meets on the third Thursday of every month at 8pm in Cullybackey British Legion Hall on Main Street in the village, between September and May. A warm welcome is assured to all members of the community.
Every month the meetings focus on a local area of interest and feature talks from a range of invited speakers, from near and far.
Joe Mahon started his career as a schoolteacher, teaching English and History. He went on to work on BBC Radio Foyle as a contributor before becoming a producer. He then became manager of Radio Foyle, before moving to TV. He worked at the BBC and then took up a post with independent production company Northland Films.
Joe is best known as the presenter and producer of Lesser Spotted Ulster, Lesser Spotted Journeys, Ulster Giants, and Mahon's Way.
A born explorer of place and people, Joe lives in Derry/Londonderry.
Cullybackey and District Historical Society host the well-known Joe Mahon on Thursday 7th March, with the evening set to begin at 7:30pm.
Admission is £5 and includes refreshments.
